Can you use AFCU’s Online Banking on my phone and tablet?

Yes! Our online banking provides you access to bank from any device – conveniently and securely.

Are there minimum browser requirements for online banking?

Secure your online experience by updating your browser. Browsers are a key part of keeping your online experience and information safe. Browsers become more secure with each release, so don’t miss out. No matter what browser you use, make sure you have the latest version installed. We recommend updating your browser to the latest version available. Browsers that support the full functionality include:

Are there minimum browser requirements for online banking?

AFCU’s online and mobile banking includes a security feature called secure access codes. The secure access code allows us to identify you and keep your accounts even more secure online by sending a 4-digit code to one of the points of contact we have on file for you. This provides an additional layer of security from fraud and identity theft.

When you log in for the first time or any other time using a device that hasn’t been registered, a secure access code will be delivered to you by text, phone or email. For your protection, the secure access code will expire in 15 minutes. Don’t worry, if your secure access code expires, you can request a new one any time.

Here’s what it looks like…

During the log in process, your contact information is populated for you to choose the location you want to receive your secure access code.

Once received, enter the secure access code and Submit.

You will be asked if you would like to register your device.

If you select “Register Device,” you will not have to go through the secure access code validation process again for that specific device as long as cookies are enabled. Click here to learn more about cookies. You may select this option if you are using a personal device that is under your control and you no longer want to receive the secure access code when using this device.

If you select “Do Not Register Device,” you will continue to go through the secure access code validation process each time you log in from device. You should select this option if you are using a public computer, a device that don’t own, or if you would like to continue being prompted for a secure access code.

Business User Management/Entitlements

AFCU’s online business user management tools allow you to grant access and set limits for particular transactions on each of your accounts.

Online Statements

The primary account holder has access to online account statements through online banking. Statements are not accessible from your mobile device. We are working to provide this feature to you in the future.

If you are the primary member, you may grant others access to view your statements. This can be done by logging on to online banking.

MOBILE BANKING

Can we login with TouchID or Fingerprint recognition?

One of our new features is login capability with Touch ID on Apple iOS Devices and fingerprint recognition on Android devices. You can activate this feature from the login page or in the ‘Security Preferences’ menu. For instructions on how to set this up, click here.

Can we login using a passcode or PIN?

You can also enable the app to allow you to sign into your account using a four digit passcode. Will I be able to view my statements from my mobile device?

Our new mobile app has many great new features. Unfortunately, at the time you will not be able to view your statements using your mobile device. To view your statements you will need to log in to your online banking via a computer.

Can I get information quickly when I’m in a hurry?

Yes! With Text Banking you can get balance information, review the last few transactions, or even make a transfer from one account to another; all without logging in.

TEXT BANKING

AFCU now offers text banking! Log on to your account to enable this feature. Once you have enrolled in Text Banking you can choose from a variety of commands based on what information you want text back to you. Below is a chart showing all of the commands and functions.

What is Bill Pay?

Bill Pay is a service that allows you to pay virtually anyone or any company through your online banking account. You determine who you want to pay, when you want to make the payment and which account you want the payment to come from. It's safe, secure and easy to use.

Who can I pay with Bill Pay?

You can pay virtually any business or individual with a mailing address within the United States and Puerto Rico. For example, you can pay utilities, cable bills or credit cards, or individuals such as a landlord, babysitter or relative.

How do I enroll in Bill Pay?

It’s easy to enroll for Bill Pay. Just log in to your account and click the "Pay Bills or People" link to access the short enrollment form.

How do I start using Bill Pay?

The first step is to add a payee, the person or company you wish to pay. Here’s how easy it is:

  • Log in to your account and click the " Pay Bills or People"" link
  • Click the "Add a Payee" button on your home page dashboard
  • Enter the requested information. Typically this information can be found on your latest bill statement.

Once you add your payee, you can start making payments in seconds.

How are online payments delivered?

Payments are sent one of two ways—electronically or by paper checks. The majority of payments are delivered electronically. Your payment information, such as your account number, is sent via secure transmission. All other payments are made by paper checks that are mailed via the U.S. Postal Service.

Is Bill Pay secure?

Paying bills online is one of the safest ways to pay your bills. Bill Pay helps guard against identity theft from lost or stolen checkbooks, bills and statements. It also increases your privacy because only you can access your account information, account numbers and payment history. As a result, you maintain tighter control of your account with real-time access to your payments activity.

How long does it take before my payment is received?

Generally, your payment is received within 2 to 7 days, depending on whether or not it is sent electronically or via paper check.

What are some benefits of using Bill Pay?
